What is the prize money for Celebrity Big Brother?

In a surprise twist, this summer Celebrity Big Brother didn't dish out any prize money to the eventual winner.

Last year, the winner was allowed to earn £50,000 for a charity of her choice.

However, this year, there was no prize money for the winner.

The celebrities still received a hefty fee for appearing on the show.

Runner-up Kirstie Alley took home £150,000

How much is the Celebrity Big Brother appearance fee?

The appearance fee is different for every star depending on what their team can negotiate for them, and what the producers think they are worth.

The Sun exclusively revealed that this year's winner, Ryan Thomas, banked £500,000 from his time on the show.

Now labelled as "Britain's most hated woman", the controversial Roxanne Pallet, however, earned £750,000.

The celebrities that didn't earn as much money included Gabby Allen with £40,000, Ben Jardine with £50,000 and Rodrigo Alvarez with £60,000.

How much have previous housemates been paid?

Kirstie Alley's £150,00 fee is nothing compared to what some stars have been paid for a CBB appearance.
